NSK Embassy Gent, 1993

The NSK Embassy Gent was a continuation and a summary of some important issues initiated in the NSK Embassy in Moscow. Irwin, Laibach and New Collectivism participated with their works, and Cosmokinetic Cabinet Noordung prepared a commemoration for the 100th anniversary of the birth of space scientist Herman Potocnik Noordung. In addition to everyday Embassy activities, the central part of the Gent Embassy was a symposium on the theme "New (Dis)order" prepared by Eda Cufer. Apart from Belgian participants, the symposium was attended by Rastko Mocnik, theoretician from Ljubljana, and Valeri Podoroga, head of the Philosophical Institute in Moscow, contributed a paper. At the same time, Center Opus Operandi organized a symposium related to the theoretical work of Slavoj Zizek. The NSK Embassy in Gent was co-organized by Opus Operandi and also took part in the Time Festival "Borders" lasting from April 29 to May 4, 1993
