Address delivered at the after show Laibach party on Kum, 27-10-06

Dear citizens of NSK, respected guests, dear friends,

I will start from the worse side but finish cheerfully. Let's thus accept the fact that our real life is soaked with evil, that it is based on evil. What fills life essence with fuel for existence, what enables pleasant feelings, is the over-powering force which we are at war with.

For to live we depend on material forces (among which are we alone) towards which we are non-absolute power. This is one viewpoint of this evil. These forces, the profiting of which feeds our life,  but their resistance towards us or their inaccessibility do us harm, lead our actions and thinkings, for without them there are no profits for us, but owing to them we can be attacked by woe.

Everybody knows that a man tends to pleasure and he avoids displeasure. But passions are insatiable, we are bursting of greed for everything what crawls and walks. Senses are soon tired of enjoyments if they are not surprised by something better. Spirit demands death of other spirits to make it happy. For we, however, know that sensual and intellectual sweetnesses are caused also by them, by a pious will of independent forces, we must be able to get from the natural material resources so much that our taking does not get on their nerves too much, but to other people, we cannot also live without, we must be able to take more than they are able to take from us. Therefore if we are well off, we know, that for that aim it was done some evil someone else is suffering it. This is the other viewpoint of this disaster.

For the other man has thus the same ambitions like you, but the both of you are pure nulls, he comes in contradiction with you and someone must be at a loss. So a man is towards other man a wolf. To eat one, is the full stomach of the other one. Love is to tear off from the other some pound of flesh or to take his soul to kill him for your false feeling of freedom. A wolf wants to be fed. A lamb is being eaten.

So it is in the world. Thus is human nature. Until neither truth nor untruth, for neither of the first one neither of the other one is Truth, says: “You are only a vision here, you don’t know anything, you are only snatching, but you can never come to me. You must know that universe was created and it is being pervaded by the dark, non-existing power, which is acting also then, when everything is pulled down into nothing and it can be created from nothing once again. This, to all Unknown, this Fore- matter, even Fore-spirit I am however Truth.”

When a man was set up into being, he was set up as a lie, as a false being. He remained without cognition, for he was full of arrogance grabbing for cognition of good and bad and he wanted to be Truth or God. But he found himself in self-cheat, for there is no truth and it is from then-on turned upside down to him. His being is fictive, he is only grabbing and he is remaining dissatisfied. When a wolf is devouring, is straying about, it is never fed and it will be devoured.

Dear friends, we, Laibach, are shepards, dressed into wolves, that the sheep recognize this lie. Yes, this lie. We are pasturing them with a naughty fraught. That at St. Neža on the god’s pasture they are smelling the flowers of Truth, are pasturing there and hope that they become this, what they are not, but be real and happy.
