Law nails things down so that they are what they are and in the way that they are. Law is their positiveness. Law, with its firm grip, keeps the essence of things compact, so that a thing is what its concept purports it to be. Law is therefore the spirit of the thing, the Right itself. Therefore the fact that things are as they are does not depend on things themselves but on something that supercedes them. That is why Law is self-abiding if it is transcendent, i.e., if it stands outside what it points its finger at and nails it down.

The domination of Law may be observed in the fact that we cannot think, act, feel or operate in any other way than in the way we do think, act, feel or operate. The truth of Law is inherent in the fundamental assertion: "This is the way it is."

To feel hatred for this truth is a sin. The consequence of hatred is ethical punishment where any action against a must is only contention of the positive (absolute) being of action. Thus evil is a revolt against the spirit, manifest as a physical pain or mental suffering in order for the fallen subject to be allowed to reappear contrite in front of His face.

The essence of love is that privacy is sacrificed to the universal, thus becoming a universal principle. This is also the substance of Law and the truth of love itself. Law is therefore love in the purest meaning of the word, for love is the absolutely universal and the definition of Law. And this is what is called Holy Law.
