First NSK Citizens Congress

In October 2010 the First NSK Citizens Congress will be held. The event will explore citizens' attitudes to and ambitions for the NSK state and their citizenship. The majority of the event will be private, but there will also be a seminar and screening programme open to paying guests. 30 citizens will be selected as delegates who will discuss the past, present and future of the NSK State. NSK members will be present at the event and all delegates will be presented with a limited edition NSK object at the end of the event. Read more

NSK Passport Holders, 2007-2008

Irwin exhibition "NSK Passport Holders, 2007-2008", is a collection of video interviews with NSK passport holders from London, Vienna/Berlin, Sarajevo and Taipei.

The exhibition is also including the work "Words from Africa" done in collaboration with NSKSTATE.COM.

LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE

LAIBACHKUNSTDERFUGE, the Bach versus Laibach concert, wil be released by Mute in digital format only on 5th of May. Meanwhile the album was released on cd in Slovenia.

Laibach’s interpretation of Bach’s Kunst der Fuge is not a usual Laibach concert but a 90 min performance-installation show – a concert for “ Kreuzschach und vier Schachspieler”, with surround sound and visuals.

Laibach will present "Laibach Kunst Der Fuge" live in May 2008. Unlike the show in Leipzig during the Bach Tage, the line up will include live Electronic Drums and Keyboards this time.

Irwin - STATE IN TIME

For the first time ever Irwin will exhibit its works in Denmark. At the exhibition the group presents NSK-State in Time. This continuing communication project presents a utopian state without a concrete territory, but with several thousands of citizens plus formal national symbols such as a flag, stamps, emblems and a passport that everyone is free to obtain. One of the exhibited works, Words from Africa, is a collaborative work between Irwin and nskstate.com.

In Aarhus NSK-State in Time will be documented in the form of video interviews, photographs, articles, artefacts and other kinds of visual material from the nearly 15 years of existence for this state. Recently Esben Hansen a visual anthropologist and film maker collaborated with Irwin on the interviews with NSK citizens. Moreover a passport office will be opened where at selected times during the exhibition period it will be possible to issue an NSK-passport. Read More

Laibach - Rossiya

LAIBACH AMONG SUPERHEROES

Laibach has been payed with uncommon honour by editors of cult comic edition ABSOLUTE KINGDOM COME. In its new editon, which has been issued at American publishing house DC Comics, Laibach's frontman is appearing as one of the new superheroes from the story. He has been named Von Bach and is, among Superman, Batman, Captain Marvel, King Crimson and other flying hypertrophies, featured as a negative hero.

Dressed in Laibach-style uniform he wears groups's trademark on his chest and is, just like the rest of heroes, flying trought the air with supersonic speed. Read more

Poster Scandal 20 Years Later

Exhibition Poster Scandal 20 Years Later featuring the banned New Collectivism poster Day of Youth and the scandal associated with it will take place in the National Museum of Contemporary History, Ljubljana, from May 25 - 25 August 2007.

In 1987 New Collectivism took part in the competition for the poster and the torch to comemorate the 25th of May (The Day of Yugoslav Youth) and the birthday of Josip Broz Tito. The jury selected NK's proposal as the best and it got the first prize.
