Simposion Laibach

So many questions for only one answer

By Nikica Korubin

"It would be unreal to wish that the people who ignominiously use the term "balcanic" to apply Haideger's invention: to cross "the Being", leaving the word and the crossing sign over it, because that word is indispensable, although non-adequate. The erasure sign would at least present a warning against the metaphysical use of this term." (Maria Todorova, "Imagining the Balkans")

- The symbolism should not exist for the reality, it should be reality;
Or
- The symbolism should exist for the reality, it isn't reality

The dilemma emerges at the moment when a man is filling hopeless because of the obvious constancy of all provoked and extorted things. Is the world better with the false morality of the persistent and, it seems eternal repetition? Is Laibach more truly with the spiritual power of the spoken? The message is non-existent if we do not understand the evil and the good - the two opposites of the false eternity, the things said and done on every step and in every moment.
Is the misunderstanding of a certain civilization enough to destroy it?

If so, the answer arises that misunderstanding the symbolism of the symbol, undermines the goals of those who speak, Laibach, in a way clear enough, more powerful than the beginning itself. Nevertheless, Laibach is an own symbol and the people are its interpreters. Moreover, some of the gods are too. However, the symbol never asks, not anymore. Probably it does not answer as well.

Than what does it do in the imagined space between the question and the answer, between the evil and the good, between the duality of the things, between the superficiality of the knowledge and the depth of the emotional? Is it the life itself or the eternity? Is it the description of the impossible and the truly one to this world of brutal reality? Is it the link with the lost past?

However, Laibach never answers. And these are only questions.

The story makes of itself or of those who create it, a myth. The myth is result of the time determination i.e. the time passing, which would mean it's creation in later period.

- The first association of the myth is it antiquity, absolute attractiveness, time and space determination of the magic beauty and constancy. Nevertheless, the myth is not as old as the first symbol. It is the sign of the beginning, the sign of the continuance, the sign of the reflection and existence. An invisible sign bringing the light.

- The first association of Laibach is antiquity too. But is that antiquity a result of the very same symbol i.e. Laibach or of the created story which still lasts? It is a story of the present. It is a message to the reality. Must the antiquity be the "old", passed and finished? The antiquity is only our determination for the passed things. Nevertheless, the things exist and live. Laibach transfer these things from the ancient antiquity to our own antiquity. As it does each significant symbol. One, which doesn’t want to exist as reality. It is high above the reality on the bottom (in the depth) of the things.

Laibach is on the bottom of the Earth. It is in the mythical space of the prophecies. It is in the sphere of the most powerful silence and the most beautiful music. In the sphere of listening people's answers to their own questions. However, Laibach IS (E). As the answer IS (E) the beginning of each indistinct problem that demands feeling not knowledge, cognition not faith, the religious, not the religion. E is an ancient symbol, the answer of all mysteries. Laibach is a new symbol. It is the question for all injustices and miseries.

Nevertheless, the symbol should not be analyzed, identified and asked for. It is only determination for the things. It is a guide on the way. It is a light in the darkness. It is not guilty, because the conclusion of the reality is the darkness. The guilt of Laibach is the superficiality of the people. Moreover, these are probably the answers to the own questions.

In a world where Laibach's music is always powerful enough, with the beauty of its own existence to deny every connection with its own symbolism, with its own origin, this time the name is crossed over, but clear enough so one could see. And that is the goal, the goal from the very beginning, which the others could not and would not see it. But the symbol could, because that view demands not knowledge, but question-what is the goal?

The goal is seeing the evil in people, not the goodness of Laibach. The goal is to mark the real things with real names. Those seen, and those unseen. The music that is being listened and the music being demanded. The answer given to the question that no one knows. Is Laibach the truth itself? And could a positive answer to this question help reality and us? Nevertheless, Laibach questions and answers no more. Laibach determines the future, as well as every excellent story.

"The god is a prophet too and the skill of prophecy deals with the future, beginning from the present and the past. Nothing happens without a cause, and nothing can be predicted without reason, it is the same way as the present follows the past and the future follows the present, in an order leading from the beginning till the end. The one who can associate each other and unite in accordance with the nature of the cause, he knows to foretell."
